Steam Separator
The Steam Separator is designed to efficiently remove moisture and condensate from flowing steam using centrifugal action or internal baffle arrangements. As steam enters the separator, changes in velocity and direction force heavier water droplets to separate from the steam and collect at the bottom of the vessel, where they are discharged through a connected steam trap.
By delivering dry steam, the separator improves heat transfer efficiency, reduces corrosion, minimizes water hammer, and protects sensitive downstream equipment such as control valves, heat exchangers, turbines, and instrumentation.
